RUSSELL, WARREN LEE 1923 †" 2012 88, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 7, 2012. He is survived by his son, David; daughter-in-law, Vicki; two grandchildren, Vonne Sargent and David Lee Russell; five great-grandchildren, Jamie Russell, Adam Sargent, Kalynn Sargent, Benjamin Russell and Chloe Russell; sister, Delores Winklepleck and brother, Edward Russell; many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Virginia. Warren was born on October 14, 1923 in Ft. Morgan, Colorado, to Silas E. Russell and Emma Louise Binger. Warren married Virginia, the love of his life, on January 31, 1943. During World War II Warren served as an aircraft machinist in the U.S. Army Air Corps stationed in England and Germany. He was a Staff Sergeant when discharged New Year†™s Eve 1945. Warren was very skilled in carpentry and as a machinist, which became his life†™s trade. Warren was a hard-worker and totally committed to his wife and family. He always considered the needs of others above his own and trusted the Lord in all situations. His advice was to keep it simple and he lived by that motto. Though quiet among those he didn†™t know well, Warren maintained a keen sense of humor and will be remembered by those he loved for his quick wit. A memorial service will be held Friday, April 13, 2012, 11:00 a.m., at Harvest Fellowship, Brighton, Colorado. Private interment, Ft. Logan National Cemetery, at a later date.
