Wayne C. Fox

Wayne C. Fox 77, of Church Hill went to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 31, 2019 on Holston Valley Medical Center after a long battle with cancer. Wayne was raised in Leicester, NC and spent most of his life in the Asheville area. He was a welder and metal fabricator by trade and retired from Smith Farm Storage in Fairview, NC. Wayne moved to Tennessee in 2009 to be with his children and grandchildren. He was a member of Stateline Baptist Church. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Lucy Fox; brothers, Rev. Dean Fox and Tom Fox Jr. Survivors include his loving wife of 51 years, Linda P. Fox; son, Paul W. Fox (Norma); daughter, Tracy Fox McCurry (Joe); four grandchildren, Abigail Fox, Tyler McCurry, Mark Fox, Michael McCurry; sister, Lula Mae Hawkins; brothers, Troy Fox (Ann), Arlies Fox (Jean),Charles Fox (Carolyn), Lee Roy Fox (Shirley); along with several nieces, nephews, and a host of extended family and friends. The family will receive friends from 5pm to 7pm on Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at Stateline Baptist Church. A funeral service will follow with Pastor Wayne Morelock officiating. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the ICU staff at Holston Valley Medical Center for their loving care. Carter- Trent Funeral Home downtown, Kingsport is serving the Fox family.
