Wayne Edward Freeman
February 15th, 1954 - February 17th, 2024
Wayne Edward Freeman peacefully passed away on February 17, 2024, in Palmetto, Florida, at the age of 70. Born in Dayton, KY, Wayne spent his entire life as a resident of Campbell County, leaving his mark on his community and beyond. Wayne dedicated 47 years of his life as a steelworker at Newport Steel. His strong work ethic and determination served as an inspiration to those who had the privilege of working alongside him. Wayne is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Jackie Scott Freeman. Together, they created a foundation of love and support that will endure through the memories they shared. He leaves behind two daughters, Shara Kluesner (Chris) and Katie Rebholz (Matt), who were the pride and joy of his life. Wayne was a devoted father, always providing guidance and encouragement to his children as they pursued their dreams. His legacy continues through his four grandchildren, Stella, Samantha, and Brad Kluesner, and Parker and Carson Rebholz. Wayne found immense joy in spending time with his grandchildren, creating lasting memories and leaving an imprint of love on their hearts. Wayne is also survived by his siblings: Bonnie Coffey, Kay Gubser, John Freeman, Viola Downard, Walter Freeman, Vickie Schout, Richard Freeman, Brenda Fultz, and Becky Quinn. He was a beloved brother, and his presence will be deeply missed by his extended family, including several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents and brother, Bill Freeman, Wayne's passing leaves a void that cannot be filled. However, the memories of his laughter, kindness, and zest for life will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. A Celebration of Life in honor of Wayne will be announced at a later date, providing an opportunity for friends and family to come together to remember and celebrate the remarkable life he lived.
