Wayne Carl Henderson

Wayne Carl Henderson, 76, of Swansea, widower of Ann A. Henderson, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 14, 2020 at Lexington Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. Born March 12, 1944 in Miami, FL, he was the son of the late Neville Patton and Belle Snelgrove Henderson. Wayne was a fun-loving person who enjoyed taking trips with family members, especially to casinos. Beating the house was one of his favorite things. He also loved making beautiful ornamental concrete sculptures, spending time in his garden and just sitting down to read a good book. Wayne loved his family dearly and cherished the time he spent with them. He instilled the importance of family to all he met. Wayne was of the Baptist faith. Wayne is survived by four children, Brian Corbett (Bonnie), Edward Henderson, Melissa Henderson (Butch) and Carl Henderson (Karolyn); grandchildren, Mia Henderson, Layne Jeffers, Kenzie Jeffers, Kala Henderson, Haley Burgess, James Henderson, Eric Corbett and Tyler Corbett (Chelsea); great grandchildren, Aiden Blanchard, Oliver Gobbel, Charles Gobbel and Kobie Burgess; brother, Pat Henderson. Graveside services will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, September 20th at Southland Memorial Gardens, 700 West Dunbar Road, West Columbia.
