Nicholasville, Kentucky Wayne Edward Reese, 67, of Nicholasville, KY passed away December 7, 2017 following a hard fought battle of cancer for 16 months. Wayne was born October 7, 1950 in Parkersburg, West Virginia to the late Al and Kay Vininski Reese. Wayne and Barb Reese recently celebrated their 33 year wedding anniversary. They married in St. Marys, West Virginia on November 17, 1984. Wayne is survived by his wife Barb Reese, son Dex Reese and his wife Kandis, daughter Bretlyn Reese and her fianc Casey Hinchcliffe, brother John (Dyane) Reese, 2 nephews, John Andrew Reese, Gabriel Reese and family, as well as his dog Coco. Wayne was a member of Wellington Bible Church. He held two Masters Degrees and was a beloved educator for many years and in many communities. Most recently he was the Principal at Robert B. Turner Elementary School in Anderson County. He previously served as Principal at Simpsonville Elementary School, Shelby County, Assistant Principal at 2nd St. Elementary, Franklin, County, P.E. Teacher and Coach at Rosenwald Dunbar Elementary in Jessamine County, Teacher and Coach in Roane County , West Virginia and Teacher and Coach at St. Marys High School in West Virginia. Funeral Information A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, December 13, from 1:30-4:30 PM at Robert B. Turner Elementary School, 1411 Fox Creek Road, Lawrenceburg, KY. Service will begin at 4:30 PM.
