Wayne Rene Stevens

Wayne Rene Stevens was born in California on Nov. 1, 1960 and passed away in Albuquerque on Dec. 22, 2019. Wayne grew up in Southern California and, after graduating from high school, proudly enlisted in the U.S. Navy. After his Navy discharge, Wayne joined the U.S. Merchant Marines as an able-bodied seaman. After serving with the Merchant Marines for many years, he retired to Albuquerque. Wayne was an accomplished musician who played the saxophone and loved the high seas. He was also an avid fisherman. Wayne was predeceased by his father, Roy Stevens and is survived by his son, Wayne David Roy Stevens of Boulder, CO, his mother Theresa Stevens of New Britain, CT, many cousins and his beloved dog, Bootsie.
