Wendy Rietfort-Miller
January 27th, 1966 - May 19th, 2012
Wendy Jean Rietfort-Miller of Westminster, CO born in Rensselaer, NY, passed away on Saturday, May 19th, 2012 at age 46, after a three year difficult battle with lung cancer. Wendy worked at National Supply Company in Albany before moving to Denver, Colorado 12 years ago. When Wendy arrived in Colorado, she was employed as the Accounting Manager for Euro Bath & Tile in Denver until she had to retire due to disability. Wendy was the loving wife of Chace Tyree Miller for nearly 5 years and was the daughter of Melva B Barnard and John J Rietfort Sr. Wendy is survived by her sister Teri Rietfort-King and brother-in law Michal King of Westminster; her sister Darlene A. Leonard, brother-in-law John Leonard, nephews Michael and David Leonard of Westminster. Also survived by her brother Jack J. Rietfort Jr, sister-in-law Gayle of Schodack, NY and niece Cindy Carter (Ballston Lake) along with her husband Benjamin and son Benjamin, and nephew Nathan Rietfort and his girlfriend Jennifer and their son Cayden (North Greenbush). Further survived by her step-mother Pat Rietfort of Concord, NC and her children Erica Wagner, David Wagner and Jennifer DiBernardo. Wendy is survived by her sister-in-law Charlotte Tia Miller-Daus, her husband Jack and their children J. Spencer, Sasha and Abigail of Denver. Wendy is further survived by her brother-in-law Charles Tyrone Miller of Denver and his children Tyler Miller who is a student at the University of Kansas and Christen Tiffany Miller who is a student at Pittsburgh State University. Wendy was loved by her Aunt Ann Marie and Uncle Fred along with their children Dawn, Bobby and Melissa of the area Albany area as well as her Aunt Ruth and Uncle Ray of Schenectady along with their children Tom, Nancy, Peggy, Janet and Joan. Wendy touched so many lives and had hundreds of friends. A few of her close friends who will miss her dearly are: Deb Hughes, Lyn Redden, Carol Ann Bourdeau, Cindy Gigliotti, Michele, Warren and Kelly Baum, Mike and Leslie Raisch, Jen and Brian Grant, Robin Drott, Lori and Brad Greenstone, Kelsey Knapp, Becky and Jeremy Joslin, Connie Cardenas, Katie Jo Drew, Cindy Minch, Nick Barnes, Sarah Lewis, Leslie Ann, Colleen Breedlove, Rae Moore, Mike Gudner, Tim Hickey, and so many more that we cannot mention here. Wendy was an animal lover and had two K-9 companions Czar and Casey Miller and two cats Haley and Chloe. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 23, at 4 pm at St. Paul’s Community Church, 8001 W. 23rd Avenue, Lakewood, CO 80214. A social gathering and refreshments will follow the service.
