Wesley "Wes" D Finch
December 8th, 1940 - January 21st, 2014
Rev. Wesley D. Finch went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2014 after a long illness. Wesley founded the Friends of Jesus ministry which provided thousands of bagged lunches over the years to day laborers and the homeless in Melbourne. The ministry is on-going. Wesley is survived by his wife Sally; three sons: James (Cyndy) and family of Cape Coral, FL; Charles (Tania) and family of Melbourne; and John of Melbourne; two daughters: Deana of Washington, D.C.; and Kari of Jacksonville, FL. He also leaves 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Also surviving are his twin brother, Gene and his wife Genie and family of Pleasanton, CA; his sister Nelda Gardner and husband Dan and family of Baytown, TX. Calling hours will be held at Beach Funeral Homes - West, Melbourne/Suntree, on Sat. Jan. 25, 2014 from 7-9pm. A funeral service is scheduled for 4pm on Sun. Jan.26, 2014 at Our Father's House, Satellite Beach. Graveside service will be at 2pm on Mon. Jan. 27, 2014 at Florida Mem. Gardens, Rockledge. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Friends of Jesus, Inc., P.O. Box 34126, Indialantic, FL 32903 in Wesley's memory.
