Wilda A. DeWitt, 87, of Caldwell, passed away on Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at a local care center. Wilda was born in Rogersville, Missouri, on January 6, 1925 to Josephine and Charles Compton. She had three other siblings, Wilda being the youngest. Her family moved to Idaho in 1935. Wilda married Gene DeWitt on April 7, 1943. They were married for 69 years. Gene was in the service and was soon to be deployed overseas. They had four daughters, one twin passed at birth. Wilda was employed at Hewlett Packard as a quality inspector, retiring at age 70. She loved traveling. Gene and Wilda especially loved British Columbia. She also went to Hawaii with her girls. Wilda was dedicated to her family; she enjoyed being with them and supporting them. She was the General. She enjoyed gardening, and was an avid reader. She was an advocate for animals. She was witty and fun loving. She is survived by her husband Gene Dewitt of Caldwell; her daughters, Sharon (Donald) DeMond of Nampa, Pamela Eisfeldt of Nampa, and Candace DeBoard of Meridian; five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. We will miss her dearly. Go with God. A visitation will be on Monday, August 27, from 5 until 8:00PM at Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell. A graveside service will be at 1:00PM at Dry Creek Cemetery , Boise. Service Information
