William Edward Baughman, Sr.

William “Bill” Edward Baughman, Sr. passed away on August 11, 2024 at the age of 70 years old in his home in Gaston, South Carolina. Bill was born on July 12, 1954 in West Columbia, South Carolina. He is survived by his beautiful wife of 53 years, Wanda Baughman, daughters Kay Baughman, Bobby Bozard, Callie Baughman and son, Bill Baughman, Jr. He was a granddaddy to 13 precious grand-babies and 11 great grand-babies. He is survived by his two sisters, Libby Miles, Terri Baughman and multiple nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his father, Sam Baughman and mother, Ethel Baughman. Bill was loved by his family, friends and everyone he came in contact with. He was passionate about hunting, fishing and being with his family. He loved playing and acting silly with all of his grandkids, but most importantly, he put God first and loved the Lord with all of his heart.

The family will be receiving visitors on August 15, 2024 from 4 to 6 pm at Thompson Funeral Home located at 4720 Augusta Highway, Lexington, South Carolina 29073, followed by a Celebration of his Life. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
