William N. (Bill) Benson William N. (Bill) Benson was born in Sacramento, CA on June 7, 1948 and passed away in Aptos, CA on June 13, 2010. Bill was the loving father of Averi Bencken (Chris); beloved son of Carol Mathison Nicholson (Russ); brother of Nancy Benson-Smith (Ross); and predeceased by his father William B. Benson. Throughout his life, Bill had a gift of making people smile and laugh with his witty sense of humor. He will be remembered for the sunshine he brought into all of our lives. A private Graveside Service will be held at Soquel Cemetery for Bill. Arrangements are under the direction of Benito & Azzaro Pacific Gardens Chapel.
