William "Bill" Charles Blackburn
October 19th, 1941 - December 6th, 2018
William (Bill) Charles Blackburn passed away at his home on Thursday Dec. 6, 2018. Bill was born on October 19, 1941 to Howard and Marion Blackburn and was raised in Middleton, Idaho. He graduated from Middleton High School. He married Nadine and together they had Kevin Wayne Blackburn. A few years later, Bill moved to California where he met and married Hilda. Together, they had William Charles (Chuck) Blackburn. While in California, he tried a variety of professions. He owned and operated a driving school, later he worked for the city of Los Angeles, after that he obtained his real estate license and sold real estate. At some point in time, he returned to Middleton to join the National Guard. He served in the Guard in California. During this time he bought a night club which he operated. He also had a bar supply company. He met Cheryl Ann Ambrosino and she joined him in operating the night club. In 1975 he had a bad fall and broke his leg in several places. He was hospitalized off and on for three years before finally having the leg amputated. In 1979 Bill and Cheryl moved back to Idaho, where Bill sold real estate. They also owned and operated a restaurant for a time. Bill and Cheryl married in 1982 and real estate was their main profession from then on. He became a real estate broker and after a time came to own Middleton Realty. He also completed several building projects and throughout his life he enjoyed hunting and fishing with his family and friends. Bill is preceded in death by his parents and brothers Dwight Blackburn and Byron Blackburn. He is survived by his wife Cheryl, son Kevin (Kate) Blackburn, Meridian, son Chuck Blackburn, Boise, brother Larry (Florence) Blackburn, Caldwell, sister Marilyn (Jerry) Dennis, Nampa, granddaughter Katie (James) Cashbaugh, Meridian, and great-grandson Carter Cashbaugh, sister-in-law Mary Blackburn, sister-in-law Val Blackburn, Uncle Wally (Marilyn) Gerhauser, and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Services are under the direction of Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell. A Celebration of Life is being held Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at the Oregon Trail Church of God, 23057 Old Hwy 30, Caldwell, 83607.
