William Eugene Brandon

William Eugene Brandon 59, died December 20, 2010 after a courageous fight against brain cancer. Bill was the fourth of nine children and was born in Bellaire, Ohio to Ruth and William Brandon on March 5, 1951. He moved to Tucson, AZ in 1980 and opened Brandon Brothers Automotive on Prince Road in 1984. Bill lent a helping hand to so many people in need over the years and provided a local hangout for all the race track guys here in town. When Bill wasn't hard at work at his repair shop or busy running after his own five children, he was doing what he loved most of all… racing cars and responding to the name "Bronco Billy Brandon". Bill dominated for years at the local Raven Raceway (now known as TRP) and at Manzanita Raceway in Phoenix, AZ. Bill eventually gave up racing to spend more time with his family but Bill's racing spirit lived on through his sons, Matthew and Michael as they raced locally at TRP and at USA dirt track. Bill is survived by his loving wife, Karen; his five children, Misty, William Jr., Cassie, Matthew; mother of his children, Debra; Karen's son, Michael and Michael's fiancé, Ashley Hernandez. He is also survived by his five beautiful grandchildren, Ariel, Austin, Brooklyn, Maleek and Ayden and his seven siblings, Thomas, April Robertson, Larry (passed in 1979), Nancy Preble, Martha Greenlee, Ernie, Eddie and Jeannette Kiss. Bill was also survived by his beloved dog, Buddy. Bill was the most loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend and will be greatly missed by each person who was blessed to know him.
