William Joseph Bryant was born February 9, 1940 in Quinter, Kansas and entered into eternal rest May 13, 2017. Bill moved to Denver, CO with his parents and sister at the age of 5 ½. He attended Sheridan High School in Denver, CO. Bill was a wrestler and a baseball player. Bill loved the Lord and loved sharing his love for the Lord with others. Bill was a devoted husband and father. His wife, children and grandchildren knew they were loved completely. Bill always believed in Christian Education for his children and grandchildren. He had been a loyal Bronco fan, holding season tickets for over 40 years and enjoyed sharing those times with his family. Bill was an avid skier, runner, competitive trap shooter, and enjoyed dancing, playing racquet ball, fishing, hunting and working on his pilot’s license. Bill enjoyed annual vacations with his family to Maui, Hawaii. His favorite memories were missing school and hunting with his dad in the Colorado Mountains. Bill was a successful Electrical Design Build Contractor in the Denver Metro area, Vail area, California, Arizona, and in Connecticut. He encouraged all of his employees to know Christ and put Him first in their lives. He also encouraged them to continue their electrical training and invested in their training. Bill learned the trade at a young age, working alongside his father who was also in the electrical business. Bill enjoyed sharing many funny stories of his father and him working together. Bill served and chaired many training committees and was recognized by the State of Colorado and the United States Department of Labor for his service in the promotion, development, and maintenance of apprenticeship and training. He served on the Denver International Airport Task Force throughout the building of DIA. Bill and his wife, Cheryl were married June 11, 1977 at Prince of Peace Church of the Brethren in Denver, Colorado. Bill attended the Church of the Brethren during his childhood and early adult life. He was baptized at age of 10. In 1978 Bill and Cheryl became members of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church. Bill served in many capacities at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church and was very involved in the Shepherd of the Hills School serving as the Chairman for several years. He went through Kennedy Evangelism training at Shepherd, served as Vice President and Financial Secretary along with other various committees. Bill is survived by his wife of 39 years, Cheryl Bryant, children Clifford Bryant, Roger Bryant, Holly (Russell) Bryant Barnes, Chad (Megan) Bryant, Ashleigh (Josh) Bryant Havekost and Lindsey (Keith) Bryant Sandford, 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, sister Mary Ann Bryant Saffer, brother- in -law Earl Saffer, sister- in- law Kathy Hettinger, and brother-in-law Brent Hettinger, several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his father Lewis Franklin Bryant, mother Jessie Irene Bryant and infant son John Paul Bryant. Even though Bill had many health problems and suffered with intense pain over the past 5 years, his sense of humor was evident to the nurses and therapists that cared for him in the hospitals and at Advanced Health Care. Bill passed peacefully and comfortably at the Denver Hospice in-patient facility with his wife Cheryl and daughter Lindsey at his bedside. Bill will be greatly missed by his wife, children, his grandchildren and friends.
