William "Bill" Burrola
March 7th, 1946 - August 5th, 2024
Bill passed away peacefully at the age of 78 on August 5, 2024 with family by his side.
Bill was born on March 7, 1946 in Monterey, CA to parents Eleanor and Frino Burrola. He was the 5th of 10 children. Bill grew up in Seaside, CA and served in the US Army for nearly 2 years in the early 1970s. He later moved to Salinas, CA and lived and worked as a tile setter throughout Monterey County, CA for over 40 years. In 2006, he moved to Roseville, CA.
Bill is survived by his wife, Linda Burrola of almost 22 years; stepson Vincent (Corky) Altavilla, stepdaughter Celeste (Mario) Villalobos; grandchildren Marco Duran, Dylan Duran, Chanel Duran, Samantha (Connor) Nielsen, Christopher Altavilla and Lucas Villalobos; siblings Dottie Burrola, Lupe Tomblinson, Barbara Watson, Molly Messick, Fred (Rosa) Burrola and Steve (Kathy) Burrola; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Bill is preceded in death by his parents Eleanor and Frino Burrola; siblings Bobby Burrola, Kathy Navales, Irene Peterson; and daughter Tammi Duran.
Bill loved bass fishing, riding his Harley Davidson, trips to the casino, watching movies, fixing and selling bicycles and singing karaoke, which is where met many friends throughout the years singing to songs from his favorite singers including Conway Twitty, Dean Martin, Ray Charles, Frank Sinatra and Elvis Presley.
Bill will be truly missed by all who knew him and will be remembered by his charm, his handsome voice, his smile, his funny sense of humor and sometimes his stubbornness.
A celebration of Bill’s life will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at 1:30 pm at the Maidu Community Center, 1550 Maidu Drive, Roseville, CA 95661.
