William "Bill" Coffman
August 20th, 1924 - March 23rd, 2007
William “Bill” Coffman, 82, of Olympia, died Friday, March 23, 2007. He was born August 20, 1924 in Broken Bow, Nebraska to John and Murle Coffman. In 1948 he joined the Army Air Corps in Alaska, retiring after 21 years of service. He had been married to Virginia Gluth. Bill had lived in the Boistfort Valley for over 30 years. He had been a lifetime member of the Amvets. His favorite pastime was spending time with his family; especially the seven grandchildren, Derrick, Cody, Spencer, Chase, Daniel, Elizabeth and Samantha. He enjoyed raising and training horses, sharing his love for them with others and watching cattle and horse auctions on TV. He is survived by his wife, Barbara who he married at Curtis, WA in 1977; sons, Dean of Bellingham, Brian (Maryanne) of Snohomish, Brent of Mt. Vernon and Darin Mustain of Albuquerque, NM; daughters, Lynda (John) Oldow of Viola, ID, Lori (Frank) Radtke of Sparks, NV, Teresa (Leonard) Smith of Lacey and Amy Mustain of Renton, WA; three brothers, Gayle Coffman of San Antonio, TX, Roger of Clarkston and Stan of Sedro Woolley. His parents and a sister, Shirley Coffman, died before him. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 30, 2007 at Grace Community Covenant Church, 5501 Wiggins Rd., Olympia.
