William "Bill" Disque

DISQUE, William George 74, of Wesley Chapel, Florida passed away Tuesday, May 30, 2017. He was born in Bradford, Pennsylvania and entered the U.S. Airforce in June 1960 and retired in 1980 as Senior Master Sgt. (E-8) he was an In Flight Refueling Superintendent, a Flight Instructor and Flight Examiner. Bill received his AA from Merced College and his BA from Chapman University while living in California. He flew 100 combat missions in South East Asia during the Vietnam War. Bill received many awards for his dedication and hard work with the Airforce: Distinguished Flying Cross, Air Medal, A.F. Good Conduct Medal, Combat Readiness Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Presidential Unit Citation, Outstanding Unit Award, Small Arms Expert Ribbon, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Gallantry Cross, A.F. Longevity Ribbon and NCO Professional Military Education Ribbon. Bill also served the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as Forensic Security Employee for Criminal Insane for 15 years. He and his wife Diane retired to Florida in 1999. He held memberships in VFW Post 4256, American Legion Post 0273, Retired Enlisted Association and Air Force Sgt.’s Association. He was preceded in death by his parents, James E. Disque and Elizabeth V. Wolfgang Disque and brothers, Danniel Lee and Joseph. Bill’s greatest loves: his loving wife of 54 years, Diane married September 1, 1962 at St. Alexanders in Morrisonville, N.Y.; his children, Tonya, Tracey, James and William II; his grandchildren, Angela, Ashley, Jared, Brittni, Sara, Enrique and Ethan; great grandchildren, Alyssa, Riley and Edmund; brothers, Thomas and Steven and his sister, Alice. A memorial mass will be celebrated at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. The family will receive friends one hour prior to mass.
