William Leroy Dombo

William Leroy Dombo, 75, of Yuba City, passed away on April 13, 2014. He was born June 1, 1938 in San Diego, CA to Roy and Sylvia Dombo. He graduated from San Diego State University where he was a member of Alpha Phi Omega. He enlisted into the ROTC and then the U.S. Air Force in 1961 where he began pilots training. He flew the T-33, 124 Loadmasters and the Big 141. He was a transport pilot for 13 year then a principal cost analyst. He retired at Beale AFB in 1981 after 20 years of service. He then moved to Southern California where he worked for Rockwell International and Arinc in El Segundo, CA. He retired in 2000. He then moved back up to Yuba City. Bill enjoyed traveling, photography, classical music and the coastline. He is survived by his wife (high school sweetheart) of 56 years Freda Dombo of Yuba City; sons, Steve Dombo of Sutter, Scott Dombo of Yuba City; daughter, Stephanie Terrell (Wade) of Yuba City; sister, Irene Papineau of San Diego; grandkids, Jeff and Danielle Dombo and Taylor Terrell. He was preceded in death by his parents. Per his family, private services will be held with Military honors provided by Beale AFB, Honor Guard.
