Fischer, William B., 85, of St. Petersburg, died Thursday, May 26, 2005 at Carrington Place Conv. Center. Born in St. Paul, Minnesota, he came here in 1967 from Minneapolis, Minnesota. He was a WWII veteran serving with the U.S. Army and received the Purple Heart. He was a superintendent at a golf course and owned and operated Fischer?s Green Thumb Nursery on Fourth Street for 9 years. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, M. Lucille, son, James Fischer, St. Petersburg, daughter, Faye Stukey, Kalispell, Montana and one granddaughter.
