William Gentry

William "Bill” Gentry, 58, of Greeley passed away on Tuesday, July 4, 2017 at his home. He was born January 6, 1959 in Elizabeth, New Jersey. Bill grew up in New Jersey, graduating from high school. He then attended college in New York for two years while working at Fahnestock on the New York Stock Exchange. It was while he was in Colorado that he met Siriwan Tangsombatvisit "Lisa” and they later married, remaining in Colorado. Bill owned Gentry Coin Gallery in downtown Greeley for the past three years, specializing in rare gold and silver coins. He also managed the Honda dealership in Greeley during the late 1990’s into the early 2000’s. Bill also ventured into business with his son, Ryan, opening up The Penalty Box, The Jager, Bears Country Saloon, Grabos and Gentry’s, all in downtown Greeley. He loved the rare coin business as well as visiting with the patrons at the bars they owned. Survivors include his wife, Lisa and son, Ryan both of Greeley as well as a sister in New Jersey. He was preceded in death by his father. Visitation from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. followed by Life Celebration Service at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at the Adamson Life Celebration Home. Interment Sunset Memorial Gardens. A reception will follow at Gentry’s, 813 9th Street, Greeley.
