William Baylor Guy

William Baylor Guy, age 87, of Johnson City, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 12, 2018 at the Mountain Home VA Medical Center. He was a veteran of the United States Navy having proudly served his country during the Korean Conflict. He enjoyed attending church in Bandy, VA and was currently attending Emmanuel Baptist Church in Johnson City. He will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Delphia Guy; and brother, Vernon Guy; Virginia and Bob Steele. He is survived by his 2 sons, Kenneth Guy (Doris) and Brian Guy; 2 grandchildren, Michelle Borman and Jennifer Grenier; brother, Junior Guy; sister, Helen Asbury; special friend and caregiver, Shirley Rust; several nieces on his side of family and also in the Steele family. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm on Thursday, February 15, 2018 at Emmanuel Baptist Church located at 1321 Carroll Creek Rd. Johnson City, TN 37615. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 pm with Pastor Barry Jessee, Pastor Walter Jessee and Pastor Dennis Dunn officiating. Military graveside services will be held at 1:45pm on Friday, February 16, 2018 at the Mountain Home National Cemetery. All those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery at 1:30 pm.
