William Hamson

William J. Hamson, age 65, formerly of Glenolden, but long time resident of Tampa Bay, FL, passed away on February 21st. He was born on August 6, 1951 in Philadelphia, a son to parents of the late Robert and Anna Marie (McAdams) Hamson. Husband of Mary (Cunningham). Loving and Devoted Father to Brianna Hamson and Lara Jonsdottir (Dan Myers). Devoted Grandfather to Caleb and Leif. Loving Brother to Robert (late Susan), Michael, and Jennifer Dastalfo. Loving Brother-in-Law to Thomas Cunningham (Claire), Catherine Robertson (Ken), Joseph Cunningham (Dragana), Terri Wetherell, William Cunningham (Gretchen) and the late Betsy Cunningham. Loving Uncle to 25 nieces and nephews. A Graduate of Cardinal O’Hara in Springfield, PA, Bill went on to begin a career in Culinary Arts and worked as a chef most of his adult life. Bill was known for his love of sports and food, but most of all was his love for his family. Hardly a Sunday went by that Bill did not host a dinner for family and friends. He taught us all the importance of family, good food, being silly and enjoying life. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am at the Chapel of Nativity Catholic Church, 705 E.
