William Hardman

William W. Hardman passed away on October 31, 2012, suddenly. Bill was born in Mt. Clare, WV on November 11, 1939 to the late Flora and Frank Hardman, and brother, Michael Hardman. He is survived by wife, Samilda "Sami"; sons, Bill, (Angie), Jimmy; daughter, Robin Linton (Ron); grandchildren, Jimmy, Sean, Brian, Anna, Morgan, Cole; and one great grandson, Anthony; sisters, Marie Dussart, Aretta Paugh (Paul); and brother, Richard Hardman of WV. Bill and Sami moved to Brevard County in 1961 from WV. Bill worked at Kennedy Space Center during the Apollo era. Retired from AT&T in 1998. Bill was well known on Merritt Island as the Courtenay Fire Chief, Scout Leader, little league baseball coach, member of the Moose 2073, life long member of Cocoa Elks 1532 and Divine Mercy Church. Bill and Sami were married for 53 years: they loved taking cruises beginning in the late 1960's and fulfilled their dreams of traveling throughout the US, and Canada. Bill was an avid reader. Funeral services will be held at Divine Mercy Church on December 7, at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Society of Vincent de Paul, Divine Mercy Church, 1940 N. Courtenay Parkway, Merritt Island, FL 32953. Arrangements by FAMILY owned and operated Atlantic Mortuary & Cremation Service, Rockledge.
