Funeral Information A celebration of life memorial will be held Tuesday June 28, 2016 at the Clark Legacy Center. The gathering will begin at 4:00 with refreshments and fellowship. The evening will conclude with a celebration message, special music and personal tributes at 7:00pm facilitated by William (Billy) Holland Jr. All family and friends are welcome to join us in celebrating his amazing life! We want to thank everyone for your thoughts and prayers. Our family has been given a wonderful gift by having this good man in our lives. Even though being plagued with a terrible kidney disease, he has forced himself to follow doctor's instructions to the letter and receive dialysis treatment consistently for over the last 20 years. He was a man of love and in every sense of the word a hero! He was a victorious warrior and a glowing inspiration of faith to everyone who knew him. To know he is not suffering anymore and that he is now beginning his glorious eternal life, brings comfort and peace to our souls. He believed with all of his heart as we do, that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord and this absolute, infinite spiritual truth fills us with hope, joy and encouragement! Yes, of course we miss him terribly and we grieve with sorrow because he is no longer with us, but we rejoice and celebrate with him today as we imagine what a wonderful and glorious time he is having around God's throne. "So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, DEATH IS SWALLOWED UP IN VICTORY! O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God which gives us the VICTORY through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmovable and always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as you know that your labor is NOT in vain in the Lord." (I Corinthians 15:54-58).
