William Roy Holloway
September 24th, 1952 - September 21st, 2017
William "Billy” Holloway, 64, of Kersey, passed away on September 21, 2017 at home in Kersey. Billy was born at Fort Dix, NJ to George and Bernice (Cotton) Holloway on September 24, 1952. On October 20, 1973 in Kansas City, MO, Billy married his true love, Doris (Gulbrandson) Holloway. He served in the Army from 1969-1971 and was a Vietnam Era veteran. He loved the "Three F’s: Fishing, Football, and Family”. Family truly meant everything to him and he loved them all dearly. Billy was a "friend of Bill W’s” for 27 years. Billy is survived by his wife; children, Monica (Robert) Harris, Rachel (Jose) Holloway, and Caitie (Tom) Holloway; 8 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; siblings, Alberta Campbell, Kenneth Taylor, Barbara Clark, and Sandy Stuart; and a large loving extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, George Holloway Jr. Celebration Potluck will be at 4:00pm on Thursday, September 28th, 2017 at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, 6770 Monaco St, Commerce City. Inurnment will be in Fort Logan National Cemetery on October 2nd, 9:00 am. Memorial contributions may be made to Weld County Food Bank, St. Jude’s Children Hospital, and the Salvation Army in care of Northern Colorado Crematory, 700 8th St, Greeley, CO 80631.
