Mr. William Thomas "W.T." Holmes, age 95 a resident of Auburndale, Florida passed away Monday, August 15, 2016 at Good Shepherd Hospice in Auburndale. Mr. Holmes was born August 18, 1920 in Cottonwood, Alabama to William Lewis and Carlie Gabriella (Fears) Holmes. W.T. was an Auburndale resident since 1975 coming from Green Cove Springs, Florida. He retired at the age of 89 as a Security Guard for Southeastern University in Lakeland after 17 yrs. of service. He was co-owner of an Aluminum Siding Business, manager for Badcock Furniture in Green Cove Springs & Haines City and a member of Gateway Assembly of God Church in Auburndale. W.T. enjoyed fishing, hunting and being with his family. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 75 yrs. Beatrice in 2014; brother - James Benjamin Holmes and sister - Laura Guy. W.T. is survived by his devoted family; 2 Sons: Billy Ayon (Gladys) Holmes of Auburndale Ricky Waylon (Jackie) Holmes of Auburndale Daughter: Wanda Kaye (Sid) Foster of Jacksonville, FL. Sister: Lonelle Guy of GA. 8 Grandchildren: Bobby, Ronnie, Scott, Emily, Austin, Elizabeth, Tammy & Kristen 11 Great Grandchildren: Danny, Larry, Ashley, Danny, Anthony, Jas, Piper, Karleigh, Victoria, Mallory & Rylan 3 Great Great Grandchildren: Brantley, Elias & Bernie.
