William “Willi” Kartischko, 82, of Goose Creek, SC, husband of Elsie Wall Kartischko, died Friday, April 10, 2015 after a brief illness. Willi was born to the late Alexi Kartischko and Olga Mintzberg in Europe. He came to his beloved United States in 1950. Willi is survived by his wife of 57 years, Elsie Wall Kartischko, his son Mark (Teresa), four grandchildren, Jason and Angela Kartischko, LeeAnn Brown Pasquino, and Christopher Brown; a great granddaughter Maryssa Blanche; brothers Leon and Ivan (Lily) Kartischko, sisters Lena Pawlenko and Lidia (Sam) Terzuole, and several nieces and nephews. Willi loved working in his yard and playing with his much loved cats, Tara and Trina. Funeral Mass will be held at Immaculate Conception Church, 510 St. James Ave., Goose Creek, SC on Thursday April 16, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Cremation services provided by Simplicity in North Charleston. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Immaculate Conception Church building fund or Charleston Animal Society, 2455 Remount Road, North Charleston, SC 29406.
