William J. Kettle

William Joseph Kettle, Jr., of Rocklin, Ca. better known as Bill Kettle, died on April 15, 2011. Bill was born in Houston, TX on February 23, 1930. After serving in the U. S. Navy on the USS ANTIETAM & USS VALLEY FORGE, he returned to Houston. A man of vision, Bill embarked on his path to a rewarding life in various business ventures. He spent many years in the private school business as Founder of Brooks College and CEO of Bauder Fashion College in Sacramento, Ca. He was also a pioneer in the telecommunications industry and introduced Flat Rate telephone service in this country with Thrifty Tel. He made the transition to the internet where he was ultimately responsible for taking several companies public including LMKI which was one of the most successful DSL companies in the country. Bill will be remembered for his eternal optimism as well as his kindness and generosity directed to his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Velma and William Joseph Kettle, Sr., his sister, Jo Kathryn Gemmer, and his brother, John Edwin Kettle. He is survived by his wife, Adela Maria Kettle, his daughter, Cynthia (Jack) Page, his son, William J. Kettle, III, Daughter Kristi (Jerry) Ross, son Scott Kettle and his daughters, Nikki and Miranda Kettle, stepdaughter, Tamra Stubblefield and her daughter Alex Stubblefield, stepson Dennis Stubblefield and his family Alyse, Josh and Anna Stubblefield.
