William 'Bill' Richard Lehmpuhl

Obituary William Richard Lehmpuhl, entered eternal life in Heaven on November 11, 2021 in Colorado Springs. He was born June 17, 1943 in Highland Park, IL to Sibyl (Homann) and Robert H. Lehmpuhl. He went to school in a suburb of Chicago, IL graduating from Luther High School North. He met and married the love of his life, Lavonne, in 1968. They were blessed with four sons raising them in Colorado Springs. Bill had a strong faith in the Lord and was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church. Bill attended Miami University in Ohio earning his Bachelors degree in Business/Accounting. He served in the United States Air Force from 1966-1970 ending his service as Captain. After serving in the military, he worked as an accountant for various companies until going to work for Transit Mix Concrete Company. He retired as Controller from Transit Mix after a 24 and 1/2 year career. He enjoyed spending time with his family, camping, vacations and time at the cabin in Minnesota. During his free time he also enjoyed wood working, yard work and do-it-yourself projects. Bill is survived by his wife, Lavonne; his sons and their wives, David & Carla, Timothy & Sandi, Thomas & Terri and James & Christy; and a sister and her husband, Jane & Ed Aro. He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren, Luke, Ryan, Ashley, Cody, Isaac, Spencer and Alyssa.
