William J. LeVasseur, 91 of Englewood, FL died Monday, January 16, 2012 at Englewood Community Hospital. He was born on November 15, 1920 in Woonsocket, RI to Ernest and Catherine LeVasseur. Mr. LeVasseur was awarded the Purple Heart and Bronze Star while serving in the US Army during WW-II. He moved to Florida 25 years ago from Sayerville, NJ. His hobbies included stained glass, painting and little theatre. William was a member of the VFW, AL and Elks. Survivors include his wife of 62 years: Mildred P. LeVasseur of Englewood; daughter: Lynn More and her husband Richard of Englewood. Grandchildren: Kim Hansen and Karen More and four great grandchildren: Nicole, Rachel, Megan and Jake. Inurnment will be in Arlington National Cemetery with Military Honors at a later date.
