William McNair Massey

William McNair Massey died at his home on September 29, 2013. Will is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Thomas Neely Massey Jr. He was born in Charlotte, NC on July 23, 1962. He graduated from East Mecklenburg High School, Wake Forest University, and Bowman Gray School of Medicine. He did his residency at University Alabama-Birmingham and a fellowship in Cardiology at The Medical University of South Carolina and has served as a Cardiologist with the Sanger Clinic. He loved the outdoors with mountain climbing, biking, and sailing with family and friends. Love of family and friends was what mattered. Cardiology was his passion and he was blessed to have been associated with the talented and caring staff at the Sanger Clinic. He loved the Lord and had an abiding faith. He is survived by his parents; his wife, Amy, his sons, Luke and Clayton. He is also survived by his brothers, Tom and wife Elise, and David and wife Lauren, and his sister Kathryn and husband Sam; and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service celebrating his life will be held on Thursday, October 3, 2013 at 3:00 P.M. at First Presbyterian Church, 200 West Trade Street, Charlotte. Visitation will follow in the church Fellowship Hall.
