William James McCoy
October 18th, 1950 - September 12th, 2006
William James McCoy Jr., 55, of Lansing Road, Fultonville, died unexpectedly Tuesday, September 12, 2006 at home. Born on October 18, 1950 in Albany he was the son of the late William McCoy Sr. and Virginia Demboski McCoy. He was a lifelong area resident. After graduation from high school, Bill joined the United States Navy. He served for a period of four years in radio communication. Mr. McCoy then went to work for the United States Postal Service in Schenectady for over 30 years. In 2004 he gladly retired, and was enjoying his life. He loved animals, was an avid Jets fan, enjoyed being outdoors and fishing. Survivors include his mother; two sisters, Barbara Newell and her husband Bob of Brant Lake, NY and Katherine Valerie Burke of Summerville, SC; a niece and nephew, Alison and Adam Burke of Raleigh, NC. In keeping with the wishes of Bill, there are no calling hours or funeral services. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Ayres Memorial Animal Shelter, Hilltop Road, Sprakers, NY.
