McCrea, Sr., William G. ?Bing?, 65, of Gainesville, formerly of St. Petersburg, Florida died Friday, June 24, 2005 in St. Petersburg. Born in St. Petersburg, he moved to Gainesville in 1991. He was a financial planner with Met Life Resources, Gainesville, FL. He was a member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, Gainesville, the Gainesville Country Club, and the Harn Museum at U.F. In St. Petersburg, he served on the E.D.C. and was a member of the Dragon Club. He was a past member of Suncoasters, Polywogs, Kiwanis Club of St. Petersburg, St. Petersburg Yacht Club, Bayfront Center Foundation, Hands On Museum Board, University Club and Quarterback Club. He was a third generation Pioneer Family of Pinellas County. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Sara Lynn and a son, William G. McCrea, Jr., Gainesville. He was predeceased by a son, James Trezevant McCrea.
