Ret. US Air force Capt. William Edward ""Bill"" Moore would like to say a fond farewell to all as God has called him home this past week. Born in Princewick, WV, he was the son of Madge Sue Dickenson Moore & James Kennah Moore and pre-deceased by his brother, Jim Moore. A true Patriot, Bill was a flight engineer during World War II on B-17 bombers. He then attended St. Louis University and he graduated from Ohio University where he met his wife, Glee. A devoted husband for over 57 years he was the father of four sons and grandfather to six grandsons. Bill developed new Military aircraft and missile programs including the hound dog missile and the A4d Jet fighter. Bill was a designer for the Saturn 5 rocket complex and a principle engineer for the 2nd stage through all of the ""Apollo"" missions before retiring from North American Rockwell in 1973. He then retired from the ""Harris Corporation"" (ESD) in 1995. Bill was a kind, brilliant and generous man with a terrific sense of humor. Please join us as we thank God for the man he was and the life he lived. Calling hours will from 5 until 7pm Friday, October 11, 2013 at Beckman-Williamson Funeral Home in Cocoa Beach.
