William "Bill" Kinnie Neeley
November 14th, 1938 - December 21st, 2018
WILLIAM KINNIE (BILL) NEELEY Blountville- William Kinnie (Bill) Neeley, 80, of Blountville, went to be with the Lord on Friday (December 21, 2018). He was born in Scott County, VA and had resided in Blountville for the past 35 years. Mr. Neeley retired from the United States Army as a Chief Warrant Officer with over 20 years of service to our country. He was an avid NASCAR fan who especially loved his Atlanta Braves. He also enjoyed hunting with his family. Bill was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Bonnie Lou Neeley; a brother, Bruce Neeley; his sister, Mae Tipton and her husband, Gordon. Kinnie (Bill) Neeley is survived by his loving wife, Linda Delp Neeley; his children, Bonnie Johnston and husband, Mark, Kathy Schrader and husband, Dave, Danny Neeley and wife, Brenda, Jamie Austin and wife, Lorraine, Veda Shipley; 16 grandchildren and several great grandchildren; his brothers, Don Neeley and Jerry Neeley and wife, Shirley; a sister, Betty Sloan and husband, I.J. along with several nieces, nephews, and many special friends. A visitation will be held on Friday (December 28, 2018) from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, downtown Kingsport or friends may also call anytime at the residence. A funeral service will be conducted on Friday (December 28, 2018) at 7 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Eddie McAmis and Rev. Shelton Meade, officiating. A military graveside service will be conducted by the American Legion Hammond Post #3/# 265 on Saturday (December 29, 2018) at 11 a.m. at Holston View Cemetery with Jamie Shipley, Kaleb Shipley, Jacob Austin, Andy Neeley, Eddie Jones, Jayson Mullins, Hunter Cox, and Logan Cox serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Jamie Austin and Danny Neeley. Family and friends attending the graveside service are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10 a.m. to go in procession.
