William "Lonnie" A. Register
February 19th, 1925 - March 31st, 2014
William A. "Lonnie" Register, 89, of Tampa, Florida and formerly of St. Petersburg, Florida, went home to be with the Lord Monday, March 31, 2014. Lonnie moved to St. Petersburg in 1947 from his native Jasper, Florida and was the owner of Gulf Coast Provision in Gulfport, Florida. He was a member of Fifth Avenue Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and an usher. He served as a Sergeant in the Air Force during WW II. He is survived by his son, Ward (Olivia) Register of Odessa, Florida; his daughter, Linda (Steve) Baker of West Palm Beach, Florida; 6 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife of 54 years, Becky Register. Visitation 11:00 AM to service time at 12:00 PM Thursday, April 3, 2014 at Fifth Avenue Baptist Church 4901-5th Ave. N. with Pastor Ken Whitten officiating.
