William "Bill" Edward Rogers
March 16th, 1945 - March 29th, 2024
William (Bill) Edward Rogers, graduated from this life on 29 March 2024, with his 4 children and a son in law, grandson and sister-in-law surrounding him. William is survived by his wife of almost 56 years, Barbara Rogers, their daughter Julia Kristen Lambdin (Frankie), Sons, Sterling Dean Rogers (Christi), Daron Clay Rogers (Angel), and daughter Jennie Lynn Goodchild (Craig). Grandchildren, David, Jeremy (Anna), Gaige (Hayley), Julien, Sarina (Zach), Tanner (Lexie), Dean, Storey, Jesse, Sky, Tita Chang from Taiwan, And 4 great grandchildren, Kayden, Rhea, Willa, Oakley and one yet to join the family. A half brother, Garth Esplin of Preston Idaho. He is preceded in death by his father Cyril Elmont Rogers, his mother Vera Virginia Whittle, brother Paul LeRoy Rogers and half siblings, Garold Esplin, Dale Esplin, Kay Esplin. William was a loving father and grandfather to his family and anyone he considered a friend, which was just about anyone he met. He was born in Salinas California, where his father was working in the fields for his brother-in-law. Bill, as he was known to all, went to Mesa High School, graduating in 1963. After graduation he served a Spanish speaking mission in Lima Peru, for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day-saints. In 1968, he married Barbara in the Mesa Arizona Temple. After their first child was born, he joined and served in the United States Navy for 22 years. When he retired from the Navy, he became a truck driver starting with Stevens transport. In 1996, he found a local trucking job with Central Arizona Supply in Mesa. He retired 2019, but soon went back to the company until March 2024.
