William Rudd

Greensboro native William Rudd died on June 2, 2012 after a brief illness. He was a long time resident of New York City. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am July 7 at Lee's Chapel in Greensboro. Mr. Rudd was born September 2, 1924 in Greensboro. He was the son of Albert and Mary Fulton Rudd and one of nine children. He moved to New York in 1951 where he pursued a theatrical career. Mr. Rudd went on to become an executive with a textile company until he started his own business, Barksdale Rudd Leather, with his wife Betty Barksdale Rudd. Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home is assisting the Rudd Family.
