William "Bill" Kinzly Springfield

Celebrating the life of William "Bill" Kinzly Springfield of Colorado Springs, Colorado. Bill passed away peacefully on January 30, 2023 at the age of 89, after several months of declining health. His wife of 65 years Barbara, his children, Bill & Jennifer, daughter-in-law Nelia, grandson Joey & his wife Brandy and their new baby Paul were all at his side. Bill was born in Syracuse, New York, attended Clarkson University where he earned his Electrical Engineering degree. He served in the United States Army and continued as an Army Reserve. Bill worked & retired from IBM in Washington, DC and lived in Reston, Virginia with his family. Bill built his retirement home in Arden/Ashville, North Carolina where they lived until they decided to move to Colorado Springs in 2004, to live closer to his son and family. Bill's hobby was woodworking and was passionate in making beautiful furniture for families and for other people. Bill loved outdoor activities & used to travel to Canada with his younger brother Bruce & son for fishing. We love you and miss you Dad, rest in peace.
