You were always the best Dad, ever. Gentle, strong, honest, fair, wickedly funny, fixer of anything, builder, giver to friends, family, strangers, community, family man, so proud of Mom and your kids. You gave us everything we needed to be everything we are in this moment. On the floor for cartoons, hiding twinkles 'Shhhh, don't tell your Mom" Teacher of music, 'Now, THIS is the 1812 Overture!', my Mom's best friend and partner with all the good and hard things that life has to offer - sometimes they are one in the same. Our friends always loved coming over because you were so cool and you saw them as people. They could not wait to get your attention that sometimes they were not getting at home. Accomplished engineer, lawyer, vocalist, clarinetist, goofball, math geek, tennis player, band marcher, teacher, best friend, rule maker and breaker all at the same time. There are not enough words in our vocabulary to express what you have meant to us, how much we love you and how deeply you are missed. You are our hero, too. Our first and best. You are the measure of what a father, husband and wonderful human being should be. We will love you always, Dad.
