William Paul Walters

William Paul Walters was born in Denver, CO on May 14, 1958 to William Walters and Catherine (Brown) Walters. He passed away in his home Tuesday December 3, 2019 in Denver, CO. Paul attended Denver public schools and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1976. He enlisted in the military and served 7 years in the United States Marine Corps. While stationed in Okinawa, Japan, Paul married Akemi (Shimabukuro) Walters on July 15, 1983. Paul received an honorable discharge in 1983. Paul had knack for technology and held many positions in various companies in this capacity. He most recently had a 20-year career in the home security business. Paul liked to build and create - from model train scenery to 3-D printers- there was no limit to his talent. He taught his wife, Akemi, the game of football- she is a lifelong Broncos fan. You could normally find Paul curled up with a good book and his loyal dogs. Paul is preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents. Paul is survived by his wife, Akemi Walters; daughters, Terri (Rob) Nevarez, Meg (Kevin) Ward, and Katie (Sean) Walters; father, William Walters; mother, Catherine Walters; brothers, Joe (Kathy) Walters, Jim (Nora) Walters, and Kenny Walters; grandchildren, Brianna Nevarez, Bradley Nevarez, Stefania Nevarez, Casey Nevarez, Dominic Ward, and Isabelle Ward; along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. The viewing will be held on December 12, 2019 at Faith Bible Chapel South 4250 S. Federal Blvd. Sheridan, CO 80110 between 4PM and 5PM. A memorial service celebrating Paul’s life will be held at Faith Bible Chapel South 4250 S. Federal Blvd. Sheridan, CO 80110 on December 17, 2019 at noon with a reception following immediately after.
