William "Bill" G. Wright

WRIGHT Jr., William G., “Bill”, 81, of Odessa, passed away Sunday, June 18, 2017. He was born in Jamaica, NY and moved to the Tampa Bay area in the mid 1990’s. Bill was a graduate of SUNY Farmingdale, L.I. N.Y. Bill was owner of manufacturing of PTAC Air Conditioners and Patent Owner of DEHUMID II a dehumidification system (mold). Bill was an active member of St. Timothy’s Catholic Church. He was in the Naval Reserves for two years and a life member of Naval Institute. In 1968, Bill was Coast Guard Auxiliary Commander L.I. Chapter. He was a life member of ASHRAE and President of ASHRAE Chapter of Long Island 1970-1971 and President of ASHRAE Chapter of Florida West Coast 2002-2003. Bill was also a board member of several yacht clubs and enjoyed being a pilot in his spare time. Bill loved spending time with his family and friends and loved to travel. He enjoyed snow skiing, golfing, boating, and backpacking in the Smoky Mountains. He was an avid NY Giants/ Buccaneer’s fan as well as NY Yankee/ Tampa Bay Rays fan. Bill was the World’s Greatest Salesman. Bill left behind his loving wife of 42 years, Joan Wright; two sons, Wayne Wright and wife, Joanne Wright and Richard Wright; daughter, Susan Schmitt and husband, Randel; two granddaughters, Jennifer and Jessica Wright; sister, Marilyn TerVeen; first wife, Shirley Bishop. A memorial mass will take place at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 28, 2017, at St. Timothy’s Catholic Church. Family will receive friends one hour prior.
