Winford "Pete" Nelson, age 66 passed away Sunday May 28, 2017 at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro. There will be a graveside service held Wednesday May 31, 3 pm at Lakeview Memorial Park. "Pete" was born February 11, 1951 in Guilford County, NC to the late Winford Ralph Nelson and Aileen Mae Williams Watts. He served briefly in the U.S. Army and worked as a manager in the restaurant business. Surviving are his daughter Chasity Nelson of Greensboro, granddaughter Leigh-Anna Nelson of Greensboro, sisters Gail Lambert and husband Howard of Reidsville, NC, Sandra Dover and husband Butch of Winder, GA, brother Duke Watts of Greensboro and numerous nieces and nephews.
