Winifrede L Dunn
October 31st, 1920 - July 16th, 2014
Mrs. Dunn was born in Lexington, VA and moved to Ronceverte, WV at an early age. She moved to Bradenton, FL in 1960. She retired from Manatee Memorial Hospital after serving 22 years as Personnel Director, and was responsible for the development of the Personnel Department. She was a Charter and Honorary member of the West Central Florida Personnel Directors Association, and a member of the Florida Hospital Personnel Directors Association. She was also a member of the Palma Sola Presbyterian Church. She is predeceased by her husband, Richard M. Dunn, Sr. She is survived by her children, Richard Dunn, Jr. and wife, Karen; daughter, Nancy D. Christie and husband, Luther; four grandchildren, Jeff Dunn, Christine Monfort (Dunn), Jackie Schott (Christie), and Krissy Dunn; and three great-grandchildren, Riley Dunn, Caroline Dunn and Bradley Dorman. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Palma Sola Presbyterian Church, 6510 3rd Ave. W., Bradenton, FL 34209, or Tidewell Hospice and Palliative Care, 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, FL 34238.
