Winnifred Watson, affectionately called "Miss Winnie" was born in Clarendon, Jamaica on December 5th, 1934 to the late Irene Halstead and Isaac Watson. Winnifred was one of seven siblings. She loved family and life, but most of all she loved the Lord. Raised a seventh-day adventist; she lived as a christian God-fearing woman. Winnifred attended Mt. Zion school in Rock River, Jamaica where she learned the skill of dress making. She enjoyed reading, and sewing. She was very talented and made many of her own garments. In her late teens Winnifred met Headly Cole. As a result of this union, Winnifred gave birth to two boys. Horace Cole and Charles Cole. Miss Winnie soon left Jamaica and moved to the United States. She worked as an LPN in New York for many years. After retiring; she relocated to Melbourne, Florida in 1997. While living in Melbourne, Miss Winnie took part in community activities; such as helping individuals to earn their GED. She also tutored English language learners through the Public Library System. While in Melbourne she attended and was a faithful member of the Seventh-day Adventist church of Melbourne. She was always willing to assist in any area she was needed. One of her favorite hymns was "Jesus Keep Me Near the Cross".
