Ms Wonda Wampler Mathis, 53, of Rockwell, died Friday, November 30, 2012. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Monday, at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home, with the Reverend Don Clement officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park. Ms Mathis was born September 25, 1959, in Guilford County to the late Ralph B. Wampler and Gladie Robertson Wampler. She loved the outdoors, fishing, gardening, family gatherings, and decorating for every holiday. She was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, and sister. In addition to her father Ms Mathis was preceded in death by her son, Arnold Odell Mathis Jr. and brother, Ralph Douglas Wampler. She is survived by her daughter, Carrie Long; sons, Brian Long and Greg Mathis; mother, Gladie Wampler; sisters, Connie Cox (Elzan) and Pat Wampler; brother, Steven Wampler ( Elizabeth); sister-in-law, Brenda Wampler; granddaughter, Haiden Mathis; special friend, Chuck Strickland and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Sunday, at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home. The obituary and online condolences may be viewed at www.lambethtroxler.com
