Mrs. Wrae M. Kneaskern, 62, of Prahl Road, Galway passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 15, 2015 at her home. Born in Duanesburg, New York on December 4, 1952 she was the daughter of the late Hollis "Bud" and Delora Bookhout Allard Sr. A lifelong area resident, Wrae was a 1971 graduate of Mohonasen High School. She was employed for Fownes Brother's in Amsterdam as a shipping supervisor until the onset of her illness. Wrae was an avid outdoors woman who loved nature. She loved her cabin in the woods and being with her family. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her husband, Daniel A. Kneaskern; her two sons, Shane (Nicole) Kneaskern and Jason Kneaskern; three grandsons, Logan and Evan Kneaskern, Stephen Russell; her siblings, Hollis "Bud" Allard Jr.; and Kimberly (Mark) Milewski; and several extended family members and friends. Memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 from 5 until 7p.m. at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 260 Osborne Road, Loudonville, NY 12211, Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 110 Brookline Place, 6th Floor, Brookline, MA 02445 or Albany Medical Center, 43 New Scotland Avenue, Albany, NY 12208.
