Yolanda G. Montes

On Saturday August 12, 2023, Yolanda G. Montes, loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother passed away at age 64. Yolanda was born on February 8, 1959, in Grant County, NM. She lived most of her life in New Mexico, with some of her life in San Antonio TX and Amarillo TX. Yolanda loved spending time with her grandchildren and family. She loved listening to her music, enjoyed puzzles, coloring, and taking her walks to the stores and around the neighborhood, she enjoyed a lot of those walks with her grandchildren. She loved her parakeet birds and her daughter's family dog Shade. She was also known for her sarcasm and would make people laugh. Yolanda will be dearly missed. Yolanda was proceeded in death by her mother Angie Silva, her grandparents (adopted parents) Petra G. Gonzales, and Benigno M. Montes, her sister, Beatrice Montes Ramirez, her brothers, Gilbert V. Silva, Adolphus Orcutt, and her uncle Reyes G. Montes. She is survived by her only daughter Ruby R. Montes, her son in law Ricardo Muniz, her grandchildren Peter J. Chavez Jr., Maliah D. Chavez, Xavier J. Chavez, Makyla L. Chavez, Senyda G. Muniz, Yesenia J. Muniz, her great grandson Damian R. Valerio, her brother Henry V. Silva, her sisters, Lisa Garcia, Deborah Orcutt, Theresa Orcutt, Priscilla Orcutt, her aunt Reina Montes Arellano, and lots of nieces, nephews, and cousins. A memorial service will be held on August 25th, 2023, at Riverside funeral home on San Mateo Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87108. Flowers may be sent to the riverside location mentioned.
