Yvette Franklin Stewart, loving mother, grandmother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, born October 23, 1954, to Ora Mae Brown and Samuel White Franklin in Pennsylvania, died peacefully in her home Friday, December 8, 2017, surrounded by her loving husband, daughters, and grandchildren. At a very early age, Yvette and her family relocated to Memphis TN. Yvette graduated from North Side High School in 1972 and later gave birth to daughters, Cloretta Franklin and Ada Moseley, both residing in Whidbey Island Washington. Yvette spent her early years working as a welder in Akron Ohio. Due to problems with her vision, she soon left that field of work and returned home to her children in Memphis. Yvette later relocated to Denver Colorado, to be with her daughter. There she met and fell in love with Ernest Stewart in 1995. Yvette and Ernest spent many years together before they were married in 2010. Yvette loved fishing, cooking, and spending time with family and friends. But most of all, spending time with her grandchildren, Keosha Franklin, Willysha Shaw, Willie Shaw, Malcolm Franklin, Elijah Franklin, Robert Brooks, Kevawn Brooks, and Jazmine Franklin. And her great-grand-children, Kelysha Franklin, Kassius Jackson, Aulina Franklin, Elyciana Shaw, Calayah Parker, Camiyah Parker, Willie Shaw III, Laniyah Brooks, and Robert Brooks, all of Whidbey Island Washington. And a host of loving nieces and nephews. Yvette and her husband spent their time after retiring from the workforce, traveling back and forth to see her grandchildren in Washington. Despite her declining health, she lived every day for the love of her family, and stayed strong until her very last breath.
