Yvonne Ruth Longacre

Obituary Yvonne Longacre, 62, of Fort Collins passed away at Poudre Valley Hospital on August 30, 2011. Yvonne was born March 20, 1949 in Garden City, Kansas to Herbert and Lillian (Rosington) Nusser. They soon moved to Kersey, Colorado where Yvonne attended grade school, junior high school, and high school. After graduation she attended Larimer County Vo-Tech where she became a Licensed Practical Nurse. She later attended IBMC where she became a paralegal. During her professional career she worked in local nursing homes and group homes. Yvonne was with the PTAG group who worked to make better access to public transportation for the disabled. Yvonne met her husband in the 5th grade in Kersey, Colorado. They were married in 1983 in Fort Collins. Yvonne attended Adot Kaiem and several Hebrew House Groups in Fort Collins. She is survived by her husband, Larry, daughter LeDette (Longacre) Sunbear and her husband Delbert Sunbear on the Rosebud Reservation, South Dakota, one brother JD Nusser and three sisters Debbie (Nusser) Goddard, Linda (Nusser) Peterson, Tammy (Nusser) Myers and four grandchildren. A Jewish home service is planned at her home on Springfield Drive. Yvonne's Wake We are having a wake to begin 7 p.m. Monday (9-5-2011) We are having the eulogy done by Ron Harrison. The meal will be a Jewish potluck with fish, dairy, vegetables, and fruit. NO other meats or shellfish, including broths Please bring nothing with peanuts and eggs. Grandson is highly allergic.
